Former President Jimmy Carter came to the Mountains of Appalachia for his 1997 Work Project with Habitat for Humanity. This significant and historical undertaking has been honored in a unique way. Mr. Carter gave of his time, put on work clothes and posed for an unusual portrait by American Artist Mitchell Tolle.
Now, prints have been made from the painting to commemorate the blitz build of '97, and to raise $250,000 for Habitat for Humanity, his favorite cause.
